چکیده

The key challenge of spectrum sensing is the Detection of weak signals or primary user in noise with a very small probability of miss detection, which requires better understanding of very low SNR regimes. Cognitive radio allows unlicensed users to access licensed frequency bands through dynamic spectrum access so as to reduce spectrum scarcity. The spectrum sensing problem has gained new aspects with cognitive radio and opportunistic spectrum access concepts. It is one of the most challenging issues in cognitive radio systems; the paper explains sensing concept and its various Techniques. First cognitive radio standard called the Wireless Regional Area Network (WRAN). In additional to conventional PHY and MAC layer functionalities, new features have been included in IEEE 802.22 standards. These features are Spectrum Sensing and Spectrum Management. Malicious User Detection in Spectrum Sensing for WRAN Using Different Outliers Detection Techniques

In cognitive radio it is of prime importance that the presence of Primary Users (PU) is detected correctly at each of the time. In order to do so the help from all present Secondary Users (SU) is taken and such a taken is known as co-operative spectrum sensing. Ideally it is assumed that all the secondary users give the correct result to the control center. But there are certain conditions unde...

Sparse Representation for Blind Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio: A Compressed Sensing Approach

Cognitive Radios dynamically sense the available unutilized spectrum for opportunistic transmission by secondary users (SU), when primary user (PU) is not transmitting. So rapid sensing is required under the consideration that the secondary users (SU) have to vacate the spectrum within very less time, whenever the primary user(PU) is active. Cyclo-stationary based spectrum sensing methods are b...
